Migraines usually start with a throbbing headache centered above the eye or begins
at the back of the head and spreads to one side. A migraine is characterized by
recurrent attacks of severe pain, usually on one side of the head. The pain is
believed to be associated with intense vasoconstriction, followed by prolonged
dilation of blood vessels leading to and within the brain. Attacks vary in duration
and frequency. In classic migraines the pain is preceded by visual disturbances,
sensitivity to light, nausea, and dizziness. One of the most frequent causes is
eating chocolate, caffeine and drinking red wine.
Migraine Headache: Does Stimplus Pain Relief work?
The Stimplus is the latest in electro-acupuncture. This amazing device
applies the same principle as the age old Chinese therapy of acupuncture, without
piercing the skin.
The Stimplus finds acupoints, and then stimulates away the pain electronically
at the touch of a button, without needles.
Acupoints are detected with sound and light. 6 LED indicators on the top of the
unit light up, one by one. The Stimplus also emits a low pitch sound which rises
the closer you are to an acupoint.
Supplied with two lithium batteries, ear phone (so you can use the stimplus without
being overheard), carrying pouch, acupuncture charts and user manual.
